Fulham star fumes at Man United’s controversial goal in draw as he claims it ‘should have been disallowed’

Fulham star Calvin Bassey has expressed his anger that Manchester United’s goal at Craven Cottage on Sunday was allowed to stand.
United took the lead in the 58th minute, with Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz scoring an own goal under pressure from Leny Yoro.
The game ended 1-1 as Fulham eventually equalised through substitute Emile Smith Rowe.
However, controversy surrounded United’s goal, with Bassey adamant that Yoro fouled him as they tussled following a corner.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Bassey said: ‘It’s the same as my one, it’s a foul. He’s pushed me and stopped me getting to the ball. When the referees look back it, they’ll be disappointed.’
‘I can’t say too much before I get a fine. Not enough force? Come on. It’s a foul. When you go up to jump, any little touch can put you off.

‘He’s got two hands [on me], how much force do you need? I told him, they’ve got a rule only the captain can speak to him, they haven’t checked it.
‘I’m not really sure [why he didn’t check it], he’d only speak to the captain, maybe they have, maybe they haven’t. What do you want me to do? Jump on the floor, it’s enough to not let me win the ball, it’s a disadvantage, it should be disallowed.’
Bassey had earlier been penalised for a foul on Mason Mount in the area.
Bruno Fernandes stepped up to take the spot kick for United but wasn’t able to convert.
Fulham are still awaiting their first win of the Premier League season after they also drew 1-1 away to Brighton last weekend.
United have also yet to secure a victory having been beaten 1-0 by Arsenal last time out.
