Over the last week, it’s been rumoured that Zoë Kravitz is dating her Caught Stealing co-star Austin Butler as well as British hottie Harry Styles – aka they’re all living the dream, no matter which team you bat for. World’s hottest chicken and the egg scenario!
Anywho.
While it’s totally possible that Zoë could be dating both lads, it’s also possible that she’s not with either of them and the internet is just reading something outta nothing.
But then there’s a third theory that suggests one of these rumoured relationships is BS while the other holds weight to it.
Let’s survey the evidence, shall we?
Is Zoë Kravitz dating Austin Butler or Harry Styles?
The Zoë and Austin rumours kicked off after the pair were spotted getting cosy together at a club in Paris over the weekend after the Parisian premiere of their movie. As seen in sneaky pap pics obtained by Page Six, the co-stars were spied enjoying a drink together in the dimly lit bar before sharing a hug.
“There’s definitely chemistry between them and they’re loving spending time together promoting the movie,” an insider told the Daily Mail on Friday.
They added that it’s “not quite a fully fledged romance but Austin hasn’t been friend-zoned either. Working together on the film was intense as the director Darren Aronofsky is known for pushing his actors”.
The source said promoting the film and “getting to spend time together without that pressure has been the reward for them both” after finishing the film.
Apparently Austin finds Zoë to be “cool and hilarious” (don’t we all?) and his mates “would not be surprised if something progressed”.
Days after this rumour first kicked off, Zoë was spotted arm-in-arm with former boybander Harry Styles in Italy. Then, after the Italian premiere of Caught Stealing, the pair were spotted smooching at a bar.
“Harry and Zoë were tucked away in a corner in Rita’s and were snogging like teenagers,” a source told The Sun.
“They seemed really into each other and didn’t seem to care if anyone saw them kissing.
“They walked in together, it was definitely a date, they make a gorgeous couple.”
But here’s the kicker: Austin was also present at the venue, given it was kick-ons from the premiere of his film, and all that.
So either Austin is totally chill with the girl he’s dating macking on with another certified hottie at the same bar, or one of these dating rumours is fake.
If I had to put money on it, I’d say Zoë and Austin are just mates, and these stories are part of a PR spin (otherwise known as a ‘showmance’). One of the telltale signs that a celebrity couple has been stitched together for publicity is if they’re currently promoting a project together, which they are.
The evidence to support Zoë and Austin as a couple is pretty lukewarm, IMO. Being spotted hugging after the premiere of their film and a ~source~ saying they’re cute together is hardly a smoking gun.
But walking arm-in-arm in broad daylight with Harry AND making out with him at a bar is a clear indicator that love is in the air between the pair.
So in summary, I reckon Zoë and Austin are a showmance, and Zoë and Harry are our new favourite celebrity couple. Case closed.
