Egypt strongly condemns the Israeli aggression against Qatar and calls for accountability for those responsible
Egypt expressed its strong condemnation and adversity for the aggressive action carried out by the Israeli occupation forces today, Tuesday, on the sisterly State of Qatar, which targeted a meeting of Palestinian leaders in the Qatari capital, Doha, to discuss ways to reach a ceasefire agreement, in a flagrant violation of the provisions of international law, the principles of respect for the sovereignty of states, and the sanctity of its lands. The attack represents a dangerous precedent and rejected development, and is a direct attack on the sovereignty of the sisterly State of Qatar, which plays a pivotal role in mediation efforts to cease fire in the Gaza Strip. Egypt also sees that this escalation undermines international endeavors to calm, and threatens security and stability in the entire region. Egypt announced its full solidarity with the sisterly State of Qatar, leadership and people, and called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities towards this blatant Israeli violation, and immediately work to stop the Israeli aggression, and hold the officials accountable, so that it is not added to the usual impulses of Israel from accountability.
