On September 16, MAC Cosmetics posted a black‑and‑white headshot of Jenner stamped with “for internal use only” on its Instagram page. The internet instantly went into meltdown. Kris herself fanned the flames by hopping into the comments with, “Who leaked this??” — which, naturally, had the comment section frothing.
Fans were even begging MAC not to fire whoever uploaded it, while others wondered if this was a marketing genius or an intern’s last day on the job.
Hours later, the truth was out: it was all part of Kris’ new campaign with MAC. In a follow‑up video, shared by the brand, Jenner picked up a ringing phone and said: “What do you mean the photo got leaked? You can’t do one thing right? And get the attorney on the phone.” In other words — stunt, executed.
The so‑called “oopsie upload” was actually promotion for Jenner’s official partnership with the makeup giant. Speaking to Elle, Kris explained that she’s been a fan of MAC for years and wanted to align with the brand’s values of individuality and self‑expression.
“I was so excited to finally get to work with them, and I love the campaign,” she told the outlet.
Jenner also revealed she checked in with her daughters before signing onto the project. “I usually run the idea by the girls first to get their thoughts, and then take it from there,” she said. We wouldn’t want another Versace Kim and Kourtney feud.
All this drops not long after Jenner made headlines for her facelift. In an August interview with Vogue Arabia, she confirmed she’d refreshed the results of her original surgery from 15 years prior.
“I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy,” she said. She also credited her daughters for showing up with support — Kylie went with her to the appointment while Kendall joined via FaceTime, according to Page Six.
