ICYMI, hopeless romantics across the globe have been in overdrive over the past couple of weeks with the final season of TSITP, and on Wednesday, September 17, fans finally got their hands on the ending to their love story.

To give you a quick rundown of what happened in TSITP‘s final episode, Conrad (Christopher Briney) finally makes it to Paris just in time for Belly’s (Lola Tung) birthday. After spending some time together in the City of Love, where they end up getting ~freaakkaaayyy~, Conrad ends up confessing his feelings of love to Belly for the billionth time. However, Belly admits she’s unsure and encourages Conrad to leave for Brussels.

However, after some inner dialogue, Belly FINALLY accepts her love for Conrad and runs after him. She catches him on the train, where she professes her love for Conrad, leading to a big, fat snog!

The episode then ends with Belly and Conrad returning to the summer house in Cousins before it cuts to the credits scene, which revolves around a photo album of the pair spending Christmas in Paris.

Fans react to The Summer I Turned Pretty finale

Naturally, those who shipped Belly and Conrad (AKA Bonrad) were ecstatic with her decision to chase after her man.

However, while most people were happy with a Bonrad victory, some fans felt like the finale was rushed. Some viewers expressed that they would’ve liked Bonrad moments, a wedding and Belly’s reunion with her mother, Laurel (Jackie Chung).

As a result of not getting a Bonrad wedding, viewers also noticed that this means we won’t be seeing Susannah’s (Rachel Blanchard) letter to Belly, which was handed to her before her (failed) wedding to Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno).
