Elle UK Accused Of Snubbing BLACKPINK’s Rosé As Charli xcx Is Swept Up In The Mess

Elle UK has issued an apology after uproar over its decision to crop-out BLACKPINK’s Rosé from an Instagram photo at Paris Fashion Week.

ICYMI, Rosé was one of multiple celebs to attend the swanky Saint Laurent Women’s 2026 Collection show in Paris earlier this week, where she served (and served) as the brand’s official global ambassador.

While there, Rosé was spotted posing for photos with the who’s who of it-girls including Charli xcx, Hailey Bieber and Zoë Kravitz, but you wouldn’t know it if you happened upon Elle‘s coverage of the event.

Only Charli, Bieber and Kravitz appeared in a zoomed-in version of the snap shared on Elle’s Insta, which promptly sent K-pop fans into a tizzy to the point of the magazine deleting the post altogether.

“We sincerely apologise for a recent post from Paris Fashion Week in which Rosé of BLACKPINK was cropped out of a group photo for size,” Elle wrote under a new carousel of solo shots of the Rosé.

“We did not mean to offend anyone. The post has been removed, and ELLE UK remains committed to ensuring our future coverage represents the full spectrum of our audience we so greatly respect,” the caption read.

Despite the apology, the damage had already been done according to fans, who said the repost “won’t erase the disrespect” and described Elle’s explanation of the pic being cropped for size as a “lame excuse”.

“How could you possibly publish a review of a YSL fashion show by cropping out the photo of YSL global ambassador herself?” a third user added.

But the backlash didn’t stop there.

Charli was similarly accused of snubbing Rosé when she shared images of the event on her own Instagram earlier this week.

While the BLACKPINK bandmate was present alongside the trio in one of the pics, she was cast in a shadow that prompted some fans to question whether the lighting was (literally) a shady manoeuvre.

“Why shadow Rosé?” — one comment, which garnered over 4,000 likes — read.

It seems the fiasco might simply be a case of stan-ufactured beef, since footage of the event shows all four celebs chatting, smiling, and basking in each other’s joint mutual slay.

But spare a thought for whoever’s in charge of Elle’s social media, because in the ever-relevant words of Beyoncé, somebody’s getting fired.
