Couple Val Waru (63) and Glenn Harold (57) don’t agree on much outside Accor stadium. The couple arrived from Auckland earlier in the week having bought tickets to see the Warriors before they failed to make the final, and are now split over who they are supporting tonight.

While Waru is going for Melbourne Storm (“my next favourite team”), Harold is supporting the Brisbane Broncos (“I’m a typical Kiwi s–t-stirrer”).
In State of Origin, he supports Queensland, but she goes for NSW. Harold jokes that they’ve been “arguing all year”.
“One of us is going to be sleeping on the couch in the hotel room after tonight,” he jokes.
The couple can at least agree on supporting the Warriors reserve grade in Sunday’s first match, the State Championship, before going back to arguing over the pre-game entertainment, Teddy Swims.
“I don’t know who he is,” Harold laughs.
