Julia Fox Has Been Reposting TikToks About The Life Of A Showgirl & She’s Not Impressed

Julia Fox has been caught reposting a bunch of TikToks about Taylor Swift’s new album The Life of a Showgirl, and let’s just say they’re… less than complimentary.

ICYMI, Swift’s 12th studio album has been dominating the discourse around the clock since its release on Friday, with scores of fans and critics flocking to social media to share their hot takes.
Some of these clips evidently made their way to Fox’s For You Page, since the repost section of her TikTok is dotted by multiple posts from fans who firmly disapprove of Swift’s latest album.

One such post, reshared by the Uncut Gems star, sees a user criticise Swift for releasing “two diss tracks about two different younger women” on the album — presumably in reference to “Actually Romantic” and “Father Figure”, which are widely speculated to be about Charli xcx and Olivia Rodrigo, respectively.
Another video reposted by Fox is captioned, “[The Life of a Showgirl] is mean, it’s intellectually lazy and we shouldn’t be surprised”, and sees the TikToker also criticise the supposed diss tracks while describing the album as “disappointing”.
A third clip, yet again within Fox’s reposts, is even more critical of the album, with the user claiming it proves that “Taylor Swift is aging out of being a white girl”.
The source of Fox’s apparent aversion to the album is not known, but we do know the actress is good friends with Charli xcx, having starred as one of multiple it-girls in the music video for her brat song “360” last year.

An earworm lyric in the track also directly mentions Fox and has been hummed on repeat by this writer for months, “I’m everywhere, I’m so Julia”. On top of all that, Fox was also one of multiple celebs who attended Charli’s Sicilian wedding last month.
Fox’s support for Charli also appears in her reposts, where she co-signed a clip of a user, presumably reacting to “Actually Romantic”, with the caption, “Charli babe get behind me I gotchu” — indicating that she is rallying behind Charli after Swift’s apparent diss.
As for whether this points to any animosity between Fox and Swift, well, the pair’s history is somewhat murky.

In 2022, Fox infamously dated Swift’s sworn nemesis Kanye West, whose feud with the pop star is almost too voluminous to recount.
But last month, Fox defended Swift in an interview with PEDESTRIAN.TV, saying the singer is undeservedly blamed whenever her fiancé, NFL player Travis Kelce, loses a game.
“I remember Travis Kelce lost a game, and then people were saying that it was Taylor Swift’s fault,” Fox told P.TV. “It was just like, ‘What? That’s crazy!’ But, you know, blame women — they love to do that.”
Those comments came before the release of The Life of a Showgirl, so perhaps Fox is feeling protective of her friend, or perhaps she simply butt-reposted a bunch of anti-Swift discourse. I’m no expert, but I suspect it’s the former.
