After breaking the internet with her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, Taylor Swift has cleared some online rumours trickling through the grapevine, including *that* Super Bowl Halftime tea.

During her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she spoke about her latest album and her fiancé, NFL pro Travis Kelce, Swift was handed the opportunity to address a series of rumours that have been running rampant on the interwebs.
So, here’s what T-Swizzle debunked.
Taylor Swift turned down the Super Bowl because she couldn’t keep the footage
About a month ago, Swifties believed the country-star-turned-pop-princess was going to headline the next Super Bowl Halftime spectacular. However, after it was announced that Papi Bad Bunny would be taking on the performance, rumours began to circulate that she dropped the offer for a variety of reasons.
One of them, as stated on The Tonight Show, was that she dodged the gig because she couldn’t keep the footage.
When asked if this rumour was true, Swift blatantly shut it down, stating that Jay-Z — who has a partnership with the NFL regarding the Halftime show — “has always been very good” to her.
“Our teams are really close,” Swift revealed.
“Like sometimes will call and say, ‘How does she feel about the Super Bowl?’, and that’s not like an official offer.”
While Swift and Jay-Z’s team have been in cahoots for a possible Super Bowl extravaganza, she admits that she’s locked in during the NFL season and would rather focus on Kelce rather than a performance.
“I am in love with a guy who does that sport on that actual field, like that is violent chess,” Swift shared.
“The whole season I am locked in on what that man is doing on the field.”

Swift went on to claim that she had a “perfect explanation”, revealing that the “A-Team” singer doesn’t have a phone.
“He doesn’t have a phone, and this is one thing I love about him. It’s very eccentric, love it, but when I’m going through being like, ‘Who should we call? Who should we FaceTime?’, I’m going through my texts.
“He just wasn’t there.”
The “Wood” songstress went on to reveal that to get a hold of Sheeran, it’s a whole kerfuffle.
“You have to email him and then if you wanna FaceTime him, he has to find an iPad and they have to give it to him like a child,” she laughed.
“This is one of my absolute favourite people on the planet, and when the news came out, I was like, ‘Oh my God, we forgot to call Ed.’
“He’s like family.”

Immediately, Swift shut down this rumour, stating that she wanted to make her speech not about her and her engagement.
“I did make a speech, but I actually made a point not to mention anything about my engagement,” Swift said.
“Nobody wants you to be like, ‘Hey, I know this is your wedding day’ — maybe don’t mention it.”
While Swift didn’t joke about a race down the wedding aisle, she revealed that she did a cheeky roast on what they used to wear as teenagers.
“I talked a little bit about 2006, I talked about how happy I am for her and how just beautiful it’s been to get to be a part of her life, but I did not make it about me,” the 1989 singer shared.

While we’d love for this rumour to be legit, Swift unfortunately shut down the claim that her soon-to-be hubby had harmonised some bits in “Opalite”.
“He’s not, no,” Swift said.
Unfortunately, one of the hottest — THE HOTTEST — rumours to have surfaced from The Life Of Showgirl is obviously the speculation that “Always Romantic” is a rebuttal to Charli xcx‘s “Sympathy is a Knife”.
