The Minister of Petroleum follows up on project developments at the Egyptian Petroleum Services Company

Engineer Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, affirmed his keenness to continuously follow up on developments in projects and activities implemented by petroleum sector companies within their investment plans, and to provide all necessary support to companies to support their efforts in implementing projects, remove any challenges they may face, and accelerate the pace of implementation, stressing that the Ministry will spare no effort in this regard, and that field tours and surprise visits continue within the framework of constructive communication that is reflected in giving payments.
The Ministry of Petroleum explained – in a statement today, Thursday – that this came during a surprise visit made by the Minister, today, Thursday, to the headquarters of the Egyptian Petroleum Services Company (APSCO), as part of the ongoing field follow-up tours of the activities of the sector’s companies.
The Minister held a meeting that included Ahmed Shehata, the company’s president, and the executive leadership, where the Minister held an open dialogue during which he listened to the efforts made and was informed of the current position of the company’s activities and the challenges facing them. It faces it, as it provides technical and non-technical labor for various petroleum work sites, in addition to its activities in the fields of nutrition services, supplies, transportation of workers and petroleum materials, and providing auxiliary services for drilling and production operations, as well as contributing to the implementation of environmental projects.
The Minister asked the leaders during the discussion to identify the necessary supports and requirements that contribute to developing performance, stressing the extreme importance of the company’s role based on the fact that investing in developing the human element is the key to achieving production plans. The Minister directed the implementation of a set of assignments that aim to pay attention to building the human capabilities of workers and raising Efficient qualification and training, while adhering to safety rules, which are the basic foundation in all petroleum works.
