Horrific video footage revealed the shocking moment when a sports car sped into a school bus and crashed underneath.
A miraculous clip captured by an onlooker showed a black Jaguar speeding down a highway in Florida when it crashed into the back of a school bus and slid underneath.
The crash occurred around 8.50am on Wednesday in San Carlos Park, a neighborhood in Fort Myers, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver in the Jaguar failed to slow down as the school bus approached a stop sign, resulting in the collision.
Thankfully, there were no students on board during the crash. Both the bus driver and the Jaguar’s driver sustained only minor injuries.
The driver was cited for following too closely, according to the sheriff’s office. Sheriff Carmine Marceno said students’ safety on the bus was a top priority for the department.
‘This video is incredibly hard to watch, and I thank God no students were on the bus, and no one was seriously injured,’ Marceno added.
‘I can ensure our Traffic Unit and 4th Precinct deputies have increased patrols in this area and will not tolerate reckless driving of any kind.

The San Carlos Park Fire Protection & Rescue Service District also responded to the collision.
They shared two photos online of rescue teams lifting the school bus so the Jaguar could be removed.
Authorities blocked the intersection of Highway 40 and Whispering Pine Way to clean up the collision, causing heavy delays in the area.
The sheriff’s office said the arrest was the second since they implemented a new safety program called BusPatrol.
The initiative is a partnership with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the school district to crack down on reckless drivers passing school buses.

The clip of the reckless Jaguar has since gone viral on social media, with many shocked that the driver was only issued a citation and no major injuries were reported.
‘When you see the car under the bus, it’s a miracle no one died. The road is not a game,’ one comment read.
‘It is a miracle no kids were on board, but a citation feels like a joke for a wreck this terrifying,’ another added.
‘That Jaguar literally became a lowrider under the bus Thank God no kids were onboard and both drivers walked away. Following too close = expensive lesson. Stay vigilant out there!’ a third chimed in.
