Zendaya Breaks Silence On Tom Holland Wedding Rumours In The Most Chaotically Meta Way Possible
Zendaya has (somewhat) broken her silence on *those* rumours she secretly married Tom Holland by reacting to dozens of AI-generated wedding snaps that went viral on social media.
The Spider-Man co-stars are thought to have tied the knot at a secret ceremony after Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach spilled on the Actor Awards red carpet that “the wedding has already happened” and we all just “missed it”.
Naturally, the absence of any wedding deets from the famous couple led the internet to do its thing, with wedding pics flooding the internet showing Zendaya in a chic white dress and guests like Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Robert Downey Jr in attendance.
However, as Zendaya pointed out, “Babe, they’re AI.”
“Many people have been fooled by them,” Zendaya said on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show. “While I was just out and about in real life, people were like, ‘Oh my God, your wedding photos are gorgeous’. And I was like, ‘Babe, they’re AI. They’re not real’.”
It was a roundabout way for Kimmel to ask whether Roach’s comments were legit, but Zendaya, queen of coy, didn’t confirm or deny her marital status, and instead insisted she hadn’t “seen any” of the rumours she’d gotten hitched. Go on, give us nothing!
In a masterful tease, Zendaya told Kimmel she’d bought something to “clear the confusion” about her marriage, but instead of those all-elusive pics, she showed a scene from her upcoming wedding-focussed movie The Drama, with Holland’s face superimposed on her co-star Robert Pattinson‘s body.
“That was real footage,” Zendaya joked. “That was real, I was there.”
It’s likely this is the closest we’ll get to any kind of wedding confirmation, since even the source of the chatter has been doing his darndest to walk back the comments. When asked at the Oscars this week about the marriage, Roach changed the topic entirely.
“I think the weather’s really amazing today, it’s so sunny it’s a little warm but it’s beautiful,” he said. We don’t need the weather report, Law!
Speculation about the pair’s engagement ran rife in early-2025, when Zendaya stepped out on the Golden Globes red carpet sporting a sizeable rock.
Neither star confirmed the news until months later, when Holland corrected a reporter who referred to Zendaya as his “girlfriend” — saying she was his “fiancée”.
