Tom Brady hits back at hypocrisy and sellout accusations after Pizza Hut and Dunkin’ Donuts commercials

Tom Brady has dismissed accusations of hypocrisy by endorsing Pizza Hut and Dunkin’ Donuts, despite following a rigid diet of his own to maintain his age-defying physique.
The 48-year-old is well known for his ‘TB12’ diet which has even seen him cut out vegetables and fruits such as tomatoes and peppers because he believes they are not anti-inflammatory.
He went a lot further in 2015, saying that sugary cereals and soda drinks were ‘poison’ for kids.
But over 10 years later, Brady has changed his tune after partnering with the brands he once so fiercely opposed for lucrative television commercials. Fans were stunned this year to see him working with fast food giant Pizza Hut, while he has repeatedly starred in Dunkin’ Donuts commercials.
‘It’s moderation in all things,’ Brady told CNBC. ‘I think there’s probably been people who have gone overboard with the kind of rigidity of my lifestyle or diet.
‘I have kids, and I have Halloweens and birthday parties, and we’re like a normal family. I understand the reality of life as well.

Brady’s reputation has been forged in part on the great care he takes with his health
‘I’ve been very fortunate over the course of my life to have people make food for me all the time and, we’ve had nutritionists as part of our teams, and I’ve been very blessed to have that.
‘I know there’s a lot of other people that are working really hard year round to provide for their family, and I have a lot of respect for those people and the way that they go about enjoying their life too.’
Brady built his reputation on his health and longevity, playing in the NFL until the age of 45 with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers and winning seven Super Bowl titles.
Since stepping away from the game in 2023, he has aggressively expanded his business portfolio.
The most notable partnerships outside of Pizza Hut and Dunkin’ Donuts have seen Brady become an NFL analyst with Fox on a 10-year, $375million contract.
He also has a minority stake in owning the NFL team Las Vegas Raiders and has played a key part behind the scenes in the team’s offseason rebuild after ending 2025 with the worst record in football.
As of 2026, he is believed to have an estimated worth of $330million.
