From screaming at co-stars across the dinner table and scheming against frenemy Gia Fleur, to being repeatedly lied to and brutally dumped at Final Vows, Bec Zacharia’s Married At First Sight (MAFS) experience was anything but the fairytale she signed up for. But despite the tears, the backlash and the heartbreak, the outspoken bride has made a shocking admission: she wants to return to the experiment for another shot at love.
In a tell-all interview on PEDESTRIAN.TV’s podcast Villain Edit, Bec confessed that she would love to follow in the footsteps of former two-time participants Lizzie Sobinoff and John Robertson and appear on a second season of MAFS.
She acknowledged that she wouldn’t return immediately because she has “a little bit more work to do” — specifically citing EMDR therapy to unpack her childhood traumas and past relationships — but she’s a big believer in the experiment after seeing the results firsthand.
“Yeah, I would go back and do MAFS for a second chance at love,” she said. “Stella [Mickunaite] and Fil [Gregov] are good friends of mine, and I see that connection; that’s what I want. So yeah, I would definitely do it again.”
Bec spills on return to reality TV
Bec revealed that it’s only recently that she’s considered returning to reality TV after MAFS, and a major driving force is the desire to show viewers how much she’s grown.
“I actually think that it would be beautiful for me to do something else where people can see the growth,” she said.
“Maybe not right now, maybe give it a few months, but yeah, I think that it would be great for people to see the strides and the steps I’ve taken to better myself by way of seeing me on TV again.”
As for which shows Bec has her eyes on, she said she would “absolutely” sign up for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! or Australian Survivor — which, based on her puppeteering at the final Dinner Party, makes complete sense.
“I love to do things that challenge me, whether they’re good or bad, but I’d love to go into the jungle. I’d love to do something like that,” she shared.
“Everyone keeps on saying, ‘Get Bec on Survivor, she’d absolutely rock it’. And I’d be skinny! But yeah, I’d love to do something like that. To be honest with you, whilst I was doing [MAFS], it was hard and stressful, but I’m grateful because god, I’ve grown.”

Bec’s ultimate career goal
It’s no wonder Bec has started thinking about ways to continue her TV career after her professional career recently took a hit. The Adelaide-born bride is one of many MAFS participants who have lost their jobs after appearing on the reality show, telling P.TV last month that she was fired from her account manager position following her behaviour at the third Dinner Party.
With the experiment officially done and dusted and no job to return to, Bec said she’s focused on showing people who she really is online and seeing what opportunities arise.
“My dream would be to be on radio. That would be my dream,” she revealed.
“I’d move into any state to be on radio, to be honest with you. I’ve always loved the idea of being a radio presenter — I think I’ve got the face for it! So yeah, that’s something that I would love to do, but I don’t know if that opportunity will ever arise.”
Considering some of the biggest radio and podcast personalities in Australia started their media career on reality TV — Chrissie Swan, Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald, Brittany Hockley, Laura Byrne and Abbie Chatfield, to name a few — Bec’s dream isn’t that far-fetched at all. If KIIS is looking for a new controversial star to replace Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson on breakfast radio, they know who to call.
