Harriet Dyer Jokingly Scolds Hubby Patrick Brammall Over Anne Hathaway Comments: ‘Trust No One’

Aussie actress Harriet Dyer has hilariously reacted after her husband, fellow actor Patrick Brammall, gushed over his Devil Wears Prada 2 co-star Anne Hathaway

ICYMI, Patrick appears in the much-anticipated sequel, which premiered today, as the love interest of Anne’s iconic character Andy Sachs.

Patrick showered praise on Anne while promoting the movie on a recent red carpet, saying that working with the actress is hardly a “tough gig”.

“Playing someone who has fallen in love with Anne Hathaway? Tough gig. Tough gig,” Patrick said.

A reporter quipped that Anne is “the world’s most beautiful person, according to People magazine and everybody in here”, to which Patrick replied “and to me too”.

Responding to the clip with an Instagram video, Harriet — who stars opposite her real-life hubby on the Aussie series Colin From Accounts — offered a simple “whaaaat?”.

“Trust no one,” she joked in the caption, alongside a sweet montage of the couple’s happiest moments cut with interview clips of Anne praising Patrick and pics of the co-stars embracing on The Devil Wears Prada 2 set.

A bunch of other famous Aussies joined in on the joke in the comments, with Abbie Chatfield saying she “can’t believe he’s [Patrick] done this” and Succession’s Sarah Snook dropping a bunch of cry-laugh emojis.

Of course, we can safely assume there’s no actual Hollywood love triangle going on, since Harriet and Patrick have been married for five years and share two daughters, and they also co-created, wrote, and starred in Colin From Accounts.

Also, at the risk of lecturing y’all about media literacy, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is ~fictional~, no matter how many real-life former Vogue assistants come out of the woodwork.

The sequel has received mixed reviews upon hitting Aussie screens today, but it does boast an impressive 79 per cent score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Colin From Accounts, meanwhile, aired its second season in 2024, with a third batch of episodes currently in production.

Am I wild for now imagining an Andy Sachs cameo in season three? Or maybe Colin trotting through the halls of Runway in a Devil Wears Prada threequel? Hollywood, make it happen!
