At first glance, the couple biking down the palm tree-lined Florida street looked every bit the picture of domestic bliss.

Indeed, supermodel Gisele Bundchen looked at peace on Sunday as she enjoyed a bike ride alongside husband Joaquim Valente, a toddler appearing to be her 19-month-old son perched behind her handle bars.

The Brazilian supermodel, 46, was spotted soaking up the warm coastal weather in a sports bra, shorts, a visor and sunglasses. Meanwhile, jiu-jitsu trainer Valente, 38, wore a plain black tee and shorts as the couple navigated the suburban route near their property in Indian Creek, Miami – just across the water from where her ex-husband Tom Brady resides. 

But behind her calm demeanor, an insider now tells the Daily Mail, the resurfacing of her former marriage to NFL quarterback in an explosive new book has taken an emotional toll.

Their peaceful outing stood in stark contrast to the dramatic revelations detailed in the biography on her ex-husband, Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness. In an exclusive first look at the publication, which hits shelves September 29, author Lars Anderson lays bare the painful collapse of their 13-year marriage.

‘As much as Tom and Gisele would probably love to leave the difficult parts of their past behind them, they are forever connected through their children – and that makes it impossible to completely escape the history of their relationship,’ an insider said. 

‘Now, with new stories and details about their marriage and its demise resurfacing, Gisele is feeling the weight of it much more than Tom is. Tom has seemingly gotten better at tuning out the noise,’ the source continued.

‘He has moved on from the relationship and doesn’t spend much time worrying about what people say because, in his mind, people are always going to talk. He’s learned how to brush off the critics and the endless opinions that come with being Tom Brady.’

For Bundchen, however, the latest revelations strike far closer to home – with her primary focus centered on her children and her marriage to Valente. 

The couple, who welcomed their first child together in early 2025 before tying the knot in December that year, have maintained a low-key lifestyle in the South Florida enclave.

‘For Gisele, though; it hits a much more personal nerve. Her biggest concern isn’t really what people are saying about her – it’s what her children will eventually read, hear or have thrown at them,’ the insider said.

Bundchen shares custody of her two children with 49-year-old Brady – Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13 – while the former quarterback also has a son, 19-year-old Jack, from his previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan.

‘She worries about how they will process all of this as they get older, and especially how Joaquim will feel when he sees his wife’s past relationship constantly brought back into the spotlight,’ the source continued.

‘She never wants Joaquim to feel like he is playing second fiddle to Tom, or like he is somehow caught in the shadow of a relationship that ended years ago.

‘That is what makes this so difficult for Gisele. No matter how much she wants to move forward, Tom is still part of her life because of their kids, and every new story has the potential to stir up emotions she has worked hard to put behind her.

‘It’s a complicated balancing act – protecting her children and current husband and their feelings, managing her own feelings and trying to keep the past the past.’

Anderson’s explosive pages chronicle the mounting tension inside the Brady household during the twilight of the seven-time Super Bowl champion’s NFL career.

At the time, Brady – now in his third year of a lucrative ten-year, $375 million contract as an analyst for Fox – had announced his retirement from the NFL. Just 40 days later, he dramatically reversed course, returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for his 23rd season.

The divorce of Brady and Bundchen that ultimately came some months later shocked America. 

The pair finalized their divorce in October 2022 the same day they filed, ending their 13-year marriage within a matter of hours.
