NFL star Joshua Hines-Allen caught in furious sideline confrontation with staffer: ‘You can’t touch me’
A moment to remember for one Jacksonville Jaguars player led to a moment of confrontation by a teammate as he tried to get a souvenir of a major accomplishment.
During the Jaguars’ 35-6 win over the New England Patriots, Jacksonville’s Travis Hunter recorded his first NFL interception.
Patriots quarterback Drake Maye made a major mistake by forcing a pass into the end zone which went right into the hands of the former Heisman Trophy winner.
After Hunter celebrated the accomplishment, twirling the ball on the ground, teammate Josh Hines-Allen wanted to make sure the former Colorado star had the ball he snagged.
But an NFL equipment staffer picked up the ball and refused to hand it over to Hines-Allen. The ball boy clearly took his job way too seriously as he pushed the linebacker off him multiple times before crying out, ‘You can’t touch me!’
When Hines-Allen tried jarring the ball free from behind, the ball boy then whined again, ‘Hey! He pushed me!’

But when teammate Josh Hines-Allen tried getting the ball for Hunter as a souvenir, a strict-to-the-rules ball boy kept the linebacker at bay and wouldn’t cough up the football
Hunter didn’t let the occasion get to him, but he continued to celebrate after the game
It’s possible that Hines-Allen may face a fine for his actions, despite it seeming like the ball boy escalated the situation.
It seems the staffer didn’t know the significance the ball would have for Hunter. Additionally, equipment personnel aren’t required to hand footballs over to players – however, it is the norm to do so.
Fans criticized the ball boy for his seemingly over-the-top reaction to the situation.
‘Little nerd needs to give up the ball,’ wrote one user on X.
Another said, ‘buddy was trying to take it home and sell it online lmao.’
‘Dude was trying to get a payday from that bulls***. Either bc the ball was hunters first int or by saying Josh HA hurt him. What a little b****,’ read another angry comment.
It’s unclear if Hunter ended up receiving the ball or not, but the player continued to celebrate the accomplishment after the game.
‘It felt great, but I was on to the next play,’ Hunter said. ‘That happened in the second quarter, so I had to finish the game.’
