Woman reportedly hit by car just metres from Melbourne Marathon outside Flinders Street Station
A pedestrian has reportedly been struck by a car just metres from where the Melbourne Marathon route passes through.
Shocked witnesses told The Herald Sun a pedestrian was hit as a driver sped towards a crowd, which prompted police to draw their weapons.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson told ABC paramedics were called to the scene at 11am.
One person had been taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital, the spokesperson said.
