Sam Wood’s multi-million-dollar Melbourne property empire in limbo as he remains in jail over serious domestic violence charges

Sam Wood’s arrest on domestic violence charges continues to have wider ramifications, leaving the future of two luxury Melbourne properties owned by him and his wife Snezana in limbo.
Wood, 46, remains behind bars after he was refused bail last week over allegations involving Snezana at the family’s $3,000-a-night holiday accommodation in Noosa on October 3.
The sale of a $7.15 million Brighton property Wood and Snezana purchased last year is now uncertain.
The couple bought the luxury seven-bedroom property in September 2025, but were reportedly preparing to put it on the market just days before Wood’s arrest in Noosa.
The real estate campaign to sell the property was being handled by Jellis Craig, and it is unknown if it will still proceed following his arrest.
Meanwhile, the couple were living in a new $6 million property in the wealthy area when Wood was arrested.

They purchased the property from Anthony Catalano’s ex-wife Shara Healy and negotiated to live there during the settlement.
The new home features seven bedrooms, a pool and tennis court.
The Bachelor star had made his fortune by developing and selling his fitness empire, 28 By Sam Wood, for $71 million in 2022.
He shares a property portfolio with Snezana, including a four-bedroom Caribbean resort-style home in Mount Martha, purchased for $2.7 million in 2020.
Wood was refused bail on Thursday after being charged with domestic violence offences involving his wife, Snezana.
During the hearing at Maroochydore Magistrates’ Court, prosecutors alleged Wood pushed his wife into a wardrobe, grabbed her by the throat, threw her against a wall and struck her head against the floor during an incident at the family’s luxury Noosa apartment.
The court heard Snezana feared she was going to die during the alleged attack.
During Thursday’s bail hearing, police prosecutor Sergeant Janette Grigoris told the court Wood’s stepdaughter Eve, 21, had called Triple Zero and reported that her mother had allegedly been choked.

Prosecutors also alleged Wood’s behaviour had been ‘escalating’, with police revealing they had previously attended a ‘similar’ incident involving the couple in Victoria.
The court heard that earlier incident did not result in a formal complaint.
Photographs of Snezana’s alleged injuries were presented during the hearing, while prosecutors told the court she was living in fear of retribution.
Wood’s solicitor Mathew Cuskelly disputed the prosecution’s version of events, maintaining his client denied strangling or assaulting his wife.
His legal team has indicated he intends to defend the charges and may rely on self-defence.
Acting Magistrate Janelle Boegheim ultimately refused bail.
Mr Cuskelly confirmed on Friday his client would apply for bail in Queensland’s Supreme Court.
Wood remains entitled to the presumption of innocence, and the allegations against him have not been proven in court.
