A night tour by the Prime Minister to follow up on the final arrangements and preparations for the official celebration of the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, was keen to go this evening after the end of the Council meetings; To inspect the final arrangements and equipment for the grand celebration, which will be held on Saturday, the first of November, and was accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Museum Authority, and Mohamed Al-Saadi, member of the Board of Directors of the United Media Services Company and general supervisor of the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum.

The Prime Minister stressed his keenness to undertake this night tour; To ensure the complete completion of all preparations for the major celebration that the Egyptian state will hold on the occasion of the opening of this great cultural edifice, especially with the influx of a large number of presidents, leaders and heads of governments of many countries, and the participation of many foreign delegations, prominent dignitaries, and an elite group of senior officials around the world, stressing that this celebration reflects the greatness of this global edifice, and also embodies the scale of achievement and development that the Egyptian state is witnessing. In various fields, in proportion to its cultural status before the world. 

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly said: There are directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to continue cooperation and coordination between the concerned authorities to ensure the organization of an opening ceremony that befits the status of Egypt, reflects its leadership in the field of museums and global culture, and contributes to enhancing the country’s tourism promotion. 

During During his tour, the Prime Minister was briefed on the final preparations and the equipment for raising the efficiency and improving visual vision, and developing the roads and axes leading to the Grand Egyptian Museum. He also checked on the night lighting systems and the preparations currently being made for rehearsals of the artistic and show segments within the celebration’s activities.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly also inspected the ongoing preparations inside the Grand Egyptian Museum and the various exhibition halls, and continued. Preparations for receiving official and international delegations scheduled to participate in the upcoming opening activities.
