The Friday sermon was delivered today at Al-Azhar Mosque by Prof. Dr. Rabie Al-Ghafir, Professor of Linguistics at Al-Azhar University, and its topic revolved around “Science and the Building of Man.”
Dr. Rabie Al-Ghafir said that the issue of science is the most dangerous of its kind in Islam. It is also the highest status.
Knowledge is the first thing this nation was commanded by God Almighty, so it is the most cherished and most honorable desire With it, it surpasses anything else, and whoever is characterized by it, His nobility, God raised his people in degrees, and repeatedly denied equality between them and others. God Almighty says: (God will raise up those who believe among you and those who… They have been given knowledge by degrees.)
The preacher at Al-Azhar Mosque explained that leadership Al-Rashida called for the necessity of building a person before building a place, as true construction begins with knowledge. It is a legal obligation, a national necessity, and human nature, a privilege by which God has honored mankind and favored him over the rest of his creation.
His Eminence added that the virtue of knowledge in Islam is great, since knowledge is inherited. For fear, fruitful for action. God Almighty says: (Only those of His servants who fear God are knowledgeable), so whoever has knowledge of God is more afraid of Him. Also, God has witnessed the people of knowledge on the honor of his witnesses, and it is the unicorn, and their martyrs have come to his testimony and the testimony of God. There is no god but He and the angels and the first of the knowledge is based on the installment A With His holiness, and He was glorified with the people of knowledge, and that suffices them with honor, virtue, majesty, and nobility.
Al-Ghafir continued by saying: Whoever follows the path of knowledge has the will May God grant him goodness, and whoever abandons knowledge has bought loss. And we must invest our time in acquiring useful knowledge. God – Glory be to Him – has commanded His Noble Prophet Muhammad – peace be upon him – to increase knowledge. The Almighty said: (And say, “My Lord, increase me in knowledge.”) The Prophet – peace and blessings of God be upon him – urged his nation to seek knowledge, and explained its virtue and importance. He, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “Whoever follows a path seeking knowledge, God will take him on a path from the paths of Paradise. Indeed, the angels lower their wings in approval of the seeker of knowledge, and the scholar seeks forgiveness from those in the heavens.” And who is on the earth, and the whales in the depths of the water, and that the superiority of the scholar over the worshiper is like the superiority of the moon on the night of the full moon over all the other stars, and that the scholars are the heirs of the prophets, and that the prophets did not leave behind a dinar or a dirham, but rather they inherited knowledge, so whoever takes it will take an abundant share.
p> The preacher of Al-Azhar Mosque explained that God Almighty has differentiated between those who know and those who do not know, and He said in His Mighty Book: (Say: Are those who know and those who do not know equal? Only those of understanding remember.) We must strive to acquire knowledge, sit with scholars, and benefit from the goodness, blessings, and knowledge that God has bestowed upon them.
He stressed on parents to fear God Almighty regarding their children, and to be careful to follow them. In their lessons, urging them to be diligent and diligent, asking about their levels and behavior in school, and raising them in goodness and righteousness, and keeping them away from bad companions, for everyone is a shepherd and responsible for his flock.
The linguistics professor advised students of the necessity of seeking knowledge and being diligent in obtaining it. In various different sciences, not just religious sciences, and to be patient in seeking knowledge and obeying the teacher until we reach a true civilization, a lofty building, and a comprehensive renaissance that raises the status of the nation, achieves leadership and glory, and spoils the enemies’ poisonous plans to destroy the nation, divide it, and undermine it and its capabilities. p>
