It’s been a wild ride this time around, filled with controversy, twists and turns, and even AI scandals, but the 97th Academy Awards aka ~Oscars night~ is officially upon us.
Leading the tally for nominations this year is the very controversial Emilia Pérez with 13 Oscar nods, followed closely by Wicked and The Brutalist at 10 nominations each.
Meanwhile, all eyes are on the hotly contested actor categories in an awards season that’s really kept us on our toes — will it be The Substance‘s Demi Moore or Anora‘s Mikey Madison? Will Timothée Chalamet become the youngest actor to ever win Best Actor or will he be pipped at the post by Adrien Brody?
In a pleasant turn of events this year, the Best Director lineup is entirely filled with first-time nominees. Yup, it marks the first Oscars nominations for all five creatives — so who will take home the gong?
