If your TikTok For You Page is anything like mine, you’ve probably seen the photos of Off Campus co-stars Mika Abdalla and Josh Heuston allegedly wandering around Paris together and done a double take.

The shots have been doing the rounds online, with fans insisting they were taken in the French capital and using them as fresh fuel for a romance theory that’s been simmering for months.

This didn’t start with Paris. People clocked chemistry between Mika and Josh way back during the season one press tour, when the two actors were paired up for interviews despite their characters barely interacting on the show. The easy back-and-forth, little in-jokes and generally warm vibe between them had fans quietly screen-recording everything, just in case it turned into something more.

Then you’ve got the Aussie radio tea.

On 2DayFM Breakfast with Nath & Emma, co-host Emma Chow told listeners the show had its “own sources” who said Mika and Josh are dating. The show’s producer CJ said, “Yes. So, one of my friends works at a high-end luxury brand, and someone very close to Josh Heuston attended a show for that luxury brand and the rumours have now spread. That person may have confirmed it.”

It’s not a statement from either of them, but it was enough to make the internet sit up.

Outside of that, fans have been piecing together a little visual trail. There are candid-looking shots floating around of the pair hanging out off-set, and Mika has popped up in one of Josh’s recent Instagram dumps — including a pic on a plane with him and their Off Campus co-star Stephen Kalyn, plus other cast members.

Add in the latest Paris photos circulating online and a TikTok video, which appears to show them spending time together overseas, and you can see why people are convinced this is more than just colleagues grabbing a drink.

Reactions have been wild. X and TikTok are full of posts treating them like a soft-launched couple already, and if it somehow turns out they’re not together, there are going to be a lot of very dramatic “I refuse to accept this” posts to embed.

Mika Abdalla’s breakup with Jake Short

All of this is happening on the back of Mika’s breakup with her ex-fiancé, actor Jake Short. Her team confirmed earlier this month that the pair had ended their engagement after several years together, and made a point of saying they remain on good terms. However, the timing meant fans immediately folded it into the Josh narrative.

While that was unfolding, people also started revisiting Josh’s own dating history. He’s previously been linked to Aussie model and influencer Cartia Mallan, and has also been connected to model Bella Thomas.

What’s next for Off Campus (and maybe for Mika Abdalla and Josh Heuston)

For now, Mika is currently filming season two of Off Campus, which centres on Allie and Dean’s storyline and puts her front and centre as the leading lady. Unfortunately, Josh isn’t returning this season as Justin due to scheduling conflicts, something showrunner Louisa Levy confirmed to TV Guide, although there has been chatter he could appear again down the line.

Whether he ends up quietly visiting his alleged girl while she’s on set in Canada is yet to be seen. Until one of them decides to address it directly and put us out of our misery, all anyone really has is a breakup, some interesting timing, a growing collection of photos and posts and a bunch of TikTok detectives who will absolutely stay ready for any glimpse of a potential love story.
