EXCLUSIVE: An early 2026 production start has been set for Circlesphotography is set to commence on Circles, a relationship drama with a high-concept twist. Ariel Heller (Mammoth) is directing from a screenplay by Sam Baron and Heller. Sam Baron and Alli Brown have been set to star.
The independent feature, from Heller’s production company Good Point, will film in Idaho and Los Angeles. Sam and Emma are a couple in crisis, who retreat to a remote cabin to repair their marriage. There, they find themselves trapped in a mysterious time loop that resets, every time they lie.
Baron, who won the AMPAS Nicholl Fellowship, directed an acclaimed trilogy of short films with Amit Shah (The Orgy, Big Ears, Tall Dark and Handsome). He’s starred in Fragile Package and Tippy Toes.
Brown currently stars in BET’s Sistas, and has appeared in Succession, Search Party and Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens. Also joining the cast is Sundance alumni Alexandra Qin (Thirstygirl) with two further roles to be set shortly.
“I’m thrilled to be gearing up for production on this very special project. Sam and I have poured ourselves into the script, as well as relishing the outrageous fun of the premise. We hope to tell a complex personal story that will resonate with anyone who has ever navigated a long-term relationship” said Heller.
Producing through Good Point are Kyle Smithers, David Breschel and Caleb Heller serving as producers alongside Heller, Baron and Brown. Executive Producers are Alice Seabright, Eric Pearson, and Alexandra Canosa. The creative team recently completed with Baron and Brown the short film Useless, about a man who starts using an AI therapist and swiftly faces humiliating consequences. That film will tour festivals in 2026. emiere date to be announced in the new year.
Founded by brothers Ariel and Caleb Heller along with Kyle Smithers, Good Point is a production company rooted in the equity finance model.
