Bald man in leopard print leotard spotted riding Victorian-era bicycle through downtown Seattle in rainy weather

A man in Seattle was captured on video riding a Victorian-era bicycle while wearing a leopard print leotard in the rain.
The eccentric man – who was bald and sporting a mustache – was spotted on Dexter Ave near the city’s downtown on Wednesday. In the video, it appears to be lightly raining, yet he is practically half-naked.
The person recording the footage appears to have been driving and waiting at a light to turn when he spotted the leotard-wearing man, who was also waiting for the light.
The video begins with the person recording zooming in on the man and saying, ‘What the hell is this, bro?’
He then rolls down the window before shouting, ‘Nice bike!’
The man was holding onto a penny-farthing, which is a kind of iconic bike with an enormous front wheel and tiny back wheel that was popular during the Victorian era.
In a deep voice and unique intonation, the leopard print leotard-wearing individual replied: ‘Thank you.’
The person recording then said, ‘He’s a real man,’ as the individual on the bike kicked off to get the penny-farthing moving and hopped onto the seat above the large wheel, deftly riding the funny looking bicycle away.
‘What the hell am I seeing, bro,’ the person recording said as he continued capturing the leotard-wearing man ride away for about ten seconds.

The video was recorded and posted on X by Jonathan Choe, a senior journalism fellow at the Discovery Institute.
He posted the video in reply to one of his previous tweets about unusual weather in Seattle on Wednesday, when there was a mini tornado in Elliott Bay that caused it to snow in part of the city.
He posted the video with a caption that said: ‘Imagine being a Seattle resident trying to process the insane snowy weather today. Then you see a dude in a Tarzan outfit riding a Victorian-era penny-farthing bicycle in South Lake Union.’
The post has been viewed nearly 45,000 times since it was posted in the early hours on Thursday.
Reactions from people who replied to the tweet were mixed, with some finding it humorous and others saying it captured the bizarre nature of Seattle and the kinds of people that can be seen in the city.
Some pointed out that the man appeared to be dressed like Eugen Sandow, a famous carnival strongman from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
‘Is the circus in town? Oh yeah, every day in Seattle is a circus!’ one user replied to the video.
‘This is the most Seattle thing I’ve seen in a long while,’ another user wrote.
‘It’s one of those turn of century wrestler strong feat guy,’ a third user chimed in.
‘David Lynch is directing Seattle this morning,’ a fourth user said, referencing the director of surreal films and TV shows such as Twin Peaks and Mulholland Drive.
