
A boy was attacked by a teenage stranger in broad daylight at a park in Darwin’s northern suburbs on Sunday afternoon.
The 11-year-old was followed along Asche St, before entering William Forster Park in Muirhead where he was knocked to the ground at around 3.05pm.
‘The offender allegedly further assaulted him while on the ground, before the victim was able to get away and call for help,’ NT Police said.
Police described the male attacker as being of Aboriginal appearance, aged between 16 and 18, about 5’10” (178cm), with a skinny build and puffy hair.
He had been following the boy on a black two-wheel push scooter, which he used to flee from the scene after the incident.

The offender was reportedly wearing a long white and black shirt.
Anyone who saw what happened, or who has CCTV or dashcam footage of the area between 2pm and 3.30pm, is urged to contact the police.
Investigations are ongoing.
