Breathtaking hypocrisy of Sunny Hostin who parroted ‘No one is above the law’ on The View, then played the ‘Don’t you know who I am ?’ card after cops handcuffed son

The View’s Sunny Hostin is getting dragged online after years of maintaining on-air that ‘no one is above the law.’

A Saturday post from far-right X account End Wokeness flaunted a clip of the former federal prosecutor making the claim while speaking about Donald Trump in 2023.

Also attached was police bodycam footage of Hostin flagging her status as a TV host and former federal prosecutor during an attempt to stop her son Gabriel from getting handed a trespassing ticket last month, according to The New York Post.

Hostin has declared ‘no one is above the law’ several times since, including in June 2023 while discussing Donald Trump’s attempts to quash a hush money lawsuit, and again while speaking about Hunter Biden’s plea deal in June 2024.

‘Hunter Biden [being] on trial shows that no one is above the law,’ Hostin proclaimed at the time, predicting then-President Joe Biden would never offer a pardon.

Hunter was pardoned for felony convictions on gun and tax charges in Delaware and California a few months later.

Hostin made a similar assertion in January. ‘I’ve said this before: I really do believe that the reason President Trump ran for the office of presidency again is because he wanted to avoid going to jail,’ she told her cohosts.

‘This is perfect,’ wrote conservative commentator Clay Travis of the reputed double standard.

‘The hypocrisy writes itself,’ someone else sniped, sharing a still of the New York Post’s report on 24-year-old Gabriel’s June 16 citation.

‘”The View” co-host Sunny Hostin, who lectures everyone about equal justice, just demonstrated how liberal privilege works,’ another person raged.

‘A college degree, a clean record, or a famous parent doesn’t place anyone above the law,’ a fourth person complained. ‘Equal justice shouldn’t depend on who your parents are.’

Hostin rushed to her son’s aid after he was cuffed for wandering through an open gate onto active railroad tracks, the footage released over the weekend shows.

Hostin told officers over the phone before arriving at the scene herself, ‘My name is Sunny Hostin and I’m one of the co-hosts of The View,’ according to the Post.

She is also heard citing her status as a ‘former federal prosecutor.’

Court records showed Hostin, 57, penned a letter to the local DA shortly thereafter to ask for the case to be dismissed.

She cited her son’s Ivy League background, past community service, lack of a criminal history, and her own past as a federal prosecutor once again.

The incident in question did not involve an arrest. Gabriel was cited for trespassing and is due in court on July 31.

He avoided a more typical misdemeanor charge, cops told him while handing out the citation.

‘You can’t commit so many crimes and think that you are above the law, even if you are the president,’ Hostin said in 2023.
