Canterbury Bulldogs v North Queensland Cowboys scores, results, time, program, entertainment, tips, odds, weather, how to watch
The Cowboys playmakers are making a big impression now, Scott Drinkwater and Tom Dearden making dangerous runs before Jake Clifford kicks a 40-20. But then a Reed Mahoney error lets the Bulldogs off the hook, the former Canterbury No.9 losing control of the ball while being tackled by new Canterbury No.9 Bailey Hayward.
The Dogs then go on the attack, earn a set restart, and charge into Cowboys territory with a big Matt Burton run.
Burton goes close again but then suffers what appears to be a hand injury, or a dislocated finger, as the visitors give away two more set restarts for offside. They’ve had heaps this half.
Burton plays on, though the finger is troubling him, and he puts a grubber in on the last but Bronson Xerri is penalised for trying to drag Scott Drinkwater into the in-goal after he’s tackled.
It’s been a frustrating night for the Dogs so far.
Cowboys 12, Bulldogs 6 after 35 minutes
