Melbourne’s dating scene is apparently abuzz with rumours that two of its most eligible suitors, Carrie Bickmore and Lee Elliott, are enjoying the early stages of a romance.
The rumours come courtesy of an insider who spoke to Woman’s Day in an article published today, claiming that things between the pair — known for The Project and The Bachelorette — are “heating up quickly”.
“They’ve been trying so hard to keep things under wraps,” the source claimed.
“But there’s definitely something romantic going on. They make a beautiful couple!”
If true, it will mark Elliott’s first relationship since Georgia Love, whom he met on the second season of The Bachelorette Australia back in 2016.
Elliott succeeded in winning the heart of Love (the perfect surname for a Bachelor star, btw), with the pair eventually getting engaged in 2019 and married in 2021.
Unfortunately, Elliott and Love announced their separation in February of this year after nine years together, which is a remarkably good innings compared to other couples who’ve ‘found love’ on reality TV.

Despite the amicable split, it’s said that Love hasn’t exactly welcomed news of Elliott’s new romance, with the source claiming the Bickmore rumour “has brought up some complicated emotions”.
“It stings,” a source close to Love said.
“Seeing Lee move on so publicly and with someone as beloved as Carrie has brought up some complicated emotions.”
Neither party has confirmed the rumours, but Woman’s Day reports that Bickmore’s close friends, radio personality Fifi Box and model Bec Judd, have given their tick of approval and described Eliot as a “seriously hot catch” per the source. Seconded!
Bickmore split with her partner of 11 years, Chris Walker, in January 2023.
More recently, Bickmore sparked dating rumours with her The Project co-host Tommy Little, though both parties denied all the romantic speculation.

We’ll have to wait and see whether the Bickmore and Elliott rumours are proven true, but I’m going to ship them vehemently to anyone who will listen in the meantime.
