Channel Nine’s AFL Footy Show is accused of ripping off AFL stars over ‘best prize pack on TV’

AFL stars are apparently being ripped off by Channel Nine, that is according to the $100k podcasts.

The broadcaster offers the ‘best prize pack on TV’ on the Sunday Footy Show to an AFL player each week.

However, according to reports, some footballers have not been receiving everything that has been promised to them.

Since the claims, Sunday Footy Show host Nathan Brown has denied claims that players are being short changed.

He did however clarify that after sending the goods, he has received a few bounce backs and return to senders.

The $100k podcast has promised that they will continue to follow up with their investigation after their original claims hit the Triple M airwaves.

The $100k podcast hosts have promised to continue their investigation until they get their answers

Before playing the podcast clip, Dale ‘Daisy’ Thomas said, ‘It’s going to be a big story and it is developing right in front of our very eyes.’

And in the clip, one of the $100k Sports host says, ‘This famous channel 9 prize package, the biggest prize pack in TV apparently you don’t get all of it.

‘The players don’t get all of it.

‘So they wind it all out because they get the cash for the on screen product and then the player doesn’t get all of it.

‘So we’ve got that source. I’ve had it confirmed this week from another player who was on the Sunday Footy show in the last two years didn’t receive it all.

‘So I am getting to the bottom of it. Daisy Thomas for one, Joey Montanga, both work pretty closely with Nathan Brown on a Sunday, So I’ve put it out the boys and we will get back to this, but why do they not get the full equipment pack.’

The clip then cuts back to Mitch Cleary, ‘So Jordan Sweet today will be thinking I’ll be getting everything.

‘Because that’s a couple of players now who have referenced the fact that they haven’t got it and these boys want to get to the bottom of it.’

Daisy added’ ‘Under my knowledge they get it all.

‘If you are going to front it and read out all the prizes, it’s your responsibility to make sure the guests get all those prizes.’

The question as to whether the players’ have been receiving their full prize package was then put to Sunday Footy Show host Brown, who claimed that they were getting everything that was promised in the segment.

‘We have the best prize pack on TV on the Sunday Footy Show and I do a great live read to match it,’ he told the Herald Sun.

‘As you can imagine I don’t have time to get to the post office prior to the Sunday Afternoon game, as it’s a tight squeeze to make sure Daisy doesn’t host.

‘From my knowledge no one has missed out, there have been a few bounce backs and return to senders but I have my best people on it moving forward.’

Brown’s claims do not appear to have done enough to keep the $100k boys happy though, as they promised to keep pushing in their investigation.
