Chrissie Swan reveals wild transformation after dropping almost half her size in never-before-seen photos

Chrissie Swan has revealed just how far she’s come on her weight loss journey with some remarkable throwback photos.

The media personality, 51, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a series of images that were taken 20 years ago, back in 2005.

The photos showed Chrissie, then 31-years-old, just two years after her runner-up turn on season three of Big Brother.

One image showed a much fuller-faced Chrissie, smiling as she posed in the passenger seat of a car.

The other, taken around the same time, showed Chrissie posing with ‘bestie’ Rebecca Thompson.

‘I was a baby,’ the Nova radio star captioned the first image.

‘A cute little juicy baby with layers and foils. Happy to see the love of the giant hoop earrings started early,’ she added.

The throwback photos serve to highlight Chrissie’s remarkable weight loss journey, with the radio host losing a reported 90 kilograms in the past three years.

She has drastically transformed her physique, citing a new diet, daily walks and sobriety as the secret behind her slimdown.

After dropping a reported 90kg since the start of lockdowns, she briefly touched on her weight loss in an interview with The Australian Women’s Weekly in 2022.

She said the ‘enormous’ lifestyle changes she’d made over the previous 12 months had improved her life in so many ways.

‘I’m not going to talk about the size of my a***,’ she said.

‘I’m not going to tell you what I eat in a day. Because I’ve read those stories and they make me feel bad about myself.’

However, she did confirm Melbourne’s lengthy Covid lockdown was the catalyst for her health and fitness kick.

‘We couldn’t go out to dinner, we couldn’t go to a friend’s house, they couldn’t come to us, we couldn’t go outside five kilometres,’ she said.

‘All we could do was walk, and so that’s what I did.’

In another interview with The Herald Sun, Chrissie said she felt amazing and had never been happier as she approached 50.

‘I have never been happier or more centred. It is actually great and I don’t think you can feel that way until you have done the years. I wouldn’t be 20 for quids,’ she said.

Chrissie’s post comes after she recently revealed she was feeling the effects of a mid-life crisis.

‘Here’s the thing, midlife crisis, right? I recommend them to everybody,’ Chrissie told Nova colleagues Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli last week.

‘Something has happened and I want to know, from your standpoint, if this is a new evolution of my midlife crisis or if I’m just… being the person that I wanted to be as a teenager?’

Admitting she was ‘four years deep’ into her midlife crisis, Chrissie added it was something she welcomed.

‘I think it’s like your whole world opens up into a glittering opportunity,’ she said.

‘That’s why I don’t really like the word crisis because that implies there’s a problem. It should be renamed “midlife awakening”.’

Wippa then suggested that Chrissie may have misdiagnosed her ‘condition’.

‘I’m not a doctor but I would suggest you’ve been completely nuts since the day you were born,’ he joked.

It was an assessment with which Chrissie agreed, adding she was keen to embrace her ‘nuttiness’.

‘I can’t hide. I’m exhausted from hiding the fact that I’d be nuts. I’ve just gotta be nuts and make no apologies for it,’ she said.
