& lrm; This is in light of the importance that the state attaches to enhancing cooperation with Egyptian civil society organizations as a key partner in the efforts to achieve economic and social development, and its field experiences and effective contributions, a session was allocated within the meeting with the participation of representatives of a number of civil society organizations, in order to ensure the permanent Human Rights Committee to continue constructive communication with these entities and listen to their opinions and recommendations on issues that fall within The competencies of the committee.

& nbsp; Al -Hafiz, President of the Egyptian Federation for Development and Protection Policies, Mr. Professor Shadi Abdel Karim, Director of Al -Haq Foundation for Democracy and Human Rights, Mr. Walid Farouk, President of the National Assembly for the Defense of Rights and Freedoms, Mr. Mr. Ahmed Badawi, Director of the Egyptian Foundation for Refugees Support, Mr. Abdel -Gawad Ahmed Abdel Gawad, President of the Arab Foundation for Fair Trial Support, Mr. MP Ahmed Fathi, Founder, Executive Director of the Leadership Youth Forum, Mr. Issam Sheiha, President of the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights, Mr. Mirna Shalash, President of the Foundation for Partners for Transparency, and Mr. Ayman Aqeel, President of Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights. Civil society, and enhancing its role in supporting development efforts and developing the general environment for human rights and basic freedoms in Egypt.

During the meeting, the most prominent positive developments in the human rights file witnessed during the last period, led by the launch of the first national human rights strategy in Egypt, and the activation of the national dialogue mechanism that includes various spectrums Important legislative, most notably the Criminal Procedure Law, which was finalized in the House of Representatives, as well as the achievements achieved in the fields of economic and social rights, women’s rights, youth, the elderly, children, and persons with disabilities. An interactive dialogue constructed on ways to enhance human rights conditions in various political, economic and social fields, and support the vital role played by civil society, within a framework of partnership and integration towards developing the human rights system as a cumulative process that requires a common and sustainable national effort.
