They said the blueprint focuses on deepening bilateral and multilateral security cooperation with key strategic partners. It also lays out a roadmap for joint capacity building with like-minded partners. “This will involve enhancing joint military exercises, training programmes and sharing best practices with friendly nations,” an official said.
A key pillar of the roadmap is promoting exports of indigenous platforms and establishing India as a reliable global defence manufacturing hub. Strengthening India’s role as a net security provider and first responder in the Indian Ocean Region is another key aspect of the blueprint.
“As defence diplomacy is a core pillar of India’s foreign policy, this document provides a clear, actionable vision for the next decade, ensuring that India remains an anchor of peace, stability and rule-based order in an evolving global landscape,” an official release said.
