The director of the French Center for Alexandrian Studies, Thomas Foucher, confirmed that The opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum represents a defining moment in the path of human civilization, as it is one of the largest museums in the world and a cultural edifice that re-presents the ancient history of Egypt in a contemporary scientific and cognitive guise.

Foucher added, in special statements to the Middle East News Agency, that the Grand Egyptian Museum, with its enormous size and unique experience, is considered a competitor to the most prestigious international museums such as the Louvre Museum in Paris and the British Museum in London, noting that its opening represents a global challenge in site management. The Great Cultural Museum, especially since it is located in the area of ​​the Giza Pyramids, requires the highest levels of planning, organization and preservation of heritage.

He explained that the Grand Egyptian Museum consolidates Egypt’s position as a beacon of human heritage and a center for scientific research and dialogue among civilizations, and represents a long-awaited global civilizational project that includes more than one hundred thousand artifacts, including exhibits that are revealed for the first time, including the collection of Tutankhamun, which represents a major scientific and cultural addition for researchers. And visitors, and a message confirming Egypt’s ability to preserve its history and present it to the world with an advanced vision that reflects the spirit of the times.

He added that the museum’s unique location next to the Giza Pyramids places it in the heart of human history, and makes it a global model for managing major archaeological sites, especially in light of the use of the latest global technologies in preserving, restoring and displaying artifacts.
