Dylan & Ally Confirm Split After Reunion

Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) Australia might’ve hung up its Akubra for 2026, with the reunion tying the season in with a nice little bow. However, it appears that another couple from this year’s batch have called it quits alongside Farmer Alex and Eddy Fry.

Hold ya horses. This article contains Farmer Wants A Wife spoilers. You’ve been warned.

In a devastating blow to the show’s success rate, Farmer Dylan and Ally Horsburgh have called it quits, despite confirming they were still together on the reunion.

Speaking to Woman’s Day, the rodeo cowboy admitted their relationship changed when he realised he wasn’t “willing to compromise” on his goals, and that he couldn’t ask Ally to do the same.

“When filming finished and we were back into normal life, I spent a lot of time thinking about what the next few years would look like, and I had to be honest with myself,” he told the publication.

“I wasn’t willing to compromise on the goals and dreams that I’m chasing. And I couldn’t ask Ally to compromise on the future that she wanted.

“I didn’t think that was fair. Ally deserves someone who’s ready to build the sort of future she wants. Our lives were headed in different directions.”

Where do Farmer Wants A Wife‘s Ally and Dylan stand now?

While they didn’t get their fairytale ending, Ally revealed that she holds no grudges and that they’re still very close.

“I’m disappointed that it didn’t work out, but just because a relationship has ended doesn’t mean it’s failed,” Ally told Woman’s Day, who also confirmed that their split happened a month after the reunion was filmed.

Dylan continued by saying he’s “not proud” of how their story ended.

“Everyone calls me a man-child, and they’re probably dead right,” he added.

“I think that played a part because the farm kind of takes a back seat in your mind and you’re like, ‘Yeah, this can work,’ and then you’re back to reality.”

Although they’re no longer lovers, it appears that the pair’s friendship is going strong.

In a previous interview with PEDESTRIAN.TV, Dylan’s runner-up Scarlett revealed that she, Ally and Dylan are in a group chat and that the exes helped her through a tough break-up that happened before the show aired.

“Him and Ally, we have a little chat, and we call either before or after every episode,” she said.

With this news, that means only three of the five 2026 farmers have found love, with Alex and Eddy confirming their split at this year’s reunion.
