Egyptian and Saudi Minister of Health discuss the developments of cooperation between the two countries in the health sector
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, met Dr. Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jaljel, Minister of Health of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to discuss the developments of cooperation between the two countries in the health sector, as part of his visit to the Kingdom from 3-4 May 2025. Executive of the Egyptian Medical Mission, for the Hajj season for the year 2025, in a way that contributes to facilitating the procedures for the work of the mission. The meeting discussed cooperation in the areas of digital transformation of health services, comprehensive health insurance and patient safety, and promoting cooperation and achieving integration between the Egyptian state and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in all areas of public health, especially the pharmaceutical and biomedics industry, to localize the drug industry, in a way that ensures the achievement of drug security for Arab peoples. Until the two sides participated in the successful health experiences of the two brotherly countries, as they agreed to organize work groups that include cadres from the two countries, to exchange experiences and achieve the greatest joint benefit, as well as ways to support the partnership between the public and private sectors in the two countries, and to achieve joint benefit from Saudi investments in the field of health care in Egypt.
