Extensive meeting for"National Human Rights" To enhance integration with international covenants

The National Council for Human Rights held an expanded dialogue meeting during which it reviewed & quot; the mechanisms of joining the agreements, covenants and international protocols related to human rights and ways to raise reservations on some of its provisions & quot;, because of the belief in the Council of the importance of enhancing integration with the international human rights system and activating the obligations emanating from international agreements in a way that contributes to enhancing the national human rights framework and its alignment with it UN standards, with the participation of a number of members of the Council, a group of experts, specialists and public figures, and representatives of the National Council for Women, the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, and the National Council for People with Disabilities.

& nbsp; International human rights is not just a symbolic step, but rather an urgent necessity to enhance adherence to international standards and expand the scope of human rights protection.

& nbsp;

& nbsp; It strengthens Egypt’s position on the international scene and reflects its commitment to developing a more compatible human rights environment with international standards.

& nbsp;

& nbsp; It is a strategic step to enhance the human rights situation at the national and international levels, stressing that the government is working to implement approximately 350 recommendations, while emphasizing the response to more than 80% of it, which reflects the state’s keenness to improve human rights conditions.

& nbsp;

& nbsp; It focuses on achieving gender equality, the 1951 agreement on refugee status, reservations about some of its items and their impact on the conditions of refugees in Egypt, and the review of the & quot; the Control Commission & quot; As a constitutional necessity to enhance equality and social justice, along with the developments of national legislation and the need to compile it with international standards to ensure the protection of basic rights and freedoms.
