Female intern at addiction rehab in Florida allegedly had sex with patient DURING therapy sessions and snuck him out for romps at mom’s house
A Florida therapist intern was arrested this week after she was accused of having sex with a patient under her care.
Michelle Luchau-Rebora, 32, allegedly had sex with a 42-year-old man, referred to as JG in court, who was a patient and resident at New Hope CORPS in Homestead, a city about 40 miles south of central Miami.
New Hope CORPS is a nonprofit drug and alcohol addiction treatment facility, and Luchau-Rebora’s alleged victim was part of an inpatient treatment program there, according to legal documents obtained by WPLG.
The 32-year-old woman worked as a mental health therapist intern at the facility and conducted therapy sessions with the 42-year-old man, the documents state.
But during those sessions, the therapist and patient would allegedly have sex, which is a crime under Florida law.
Authorities also claimed that Luchau-Rebora ‘facilitated alibis on his behalf, which allowed him authorization to leave the restricted facility and engage in sexual intercourse on multiple occasions.’
The patient and therapist allegedly had sex at her home, at her mother’s home in Key Biscayne and at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Sheriff’s deputies claimed that Luchau-Rebora ‘demanded that he not tell anyone about their relationship because it will affect her ability to work as a therapist,’ per WPLG.

The illegal romantic relationship allegedly took place from June 2025 until September of that year.
The 42-year-old man allegedly reported the relationship to New Hope CORPS after Luchau-Rebora broke things off, and the facility then contacted police.
The therapist intern was fired, and she was charged with sexual misconduct by a psychotherapist, a third-degree felony punishable by up to five years in prison under Florida law.
Luchau-Rebora turned herself in to the Homestead Police Department on Wednesday. The department investigated her case with help from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, WPLG reported.
She was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Wednesday morning on a $5,000 bond, but she posted bail and was released that evening. She has been ordered to have no contact with her alleged victim.
On the way out of the jail, a WPLG reporter intercepted Luchau-Rebora and asked her on camera: ‘Did you have sex with your patients?’
‘I am not gonna comment on anything,’ the former therapist intern replied. ‘You can ask my lawyer.’
When the reporter kept following her, she said: ‘Can you leave me alone, please? This is kind of weird. I really don’t want to add anything right now.’

In a statement to WPLG, New Hope CORPS Executive Director Stephen Alvarez said: ‘This is an unfortunate situation involving allegations concerning an individual who was serving as an intern with New Hope CORPS.
‘Upon becoming aware of the allegations, New Hope promptly reported the matter to the appropriate authorities and agencies, terminated the individual’s internship, and fully cooperated with the subsequent investigation.’
