Football fans across the nation have rallied together to support 16-year-old Skye Stout after a barrage of insecure online trolls bullied the teenager under Kilmarnock’s post announcing her signing.
In what was supposed to be a day of glorious celebration, Stout’s massive news — in which she officially became a part of Scottish football team, Kilmarnock — was unfortunately overshadowed by a bunch of online haters who took aim at the teenager’s skin condition.
As a result, the football team was forced to take down the post hours after they shared the exciting news.
However, in a truly beautiful turn around, fellow football fans and sports news outlets have come forward by reposting Stout’s life-changing news, encouraging others to share their support for Stout online.
Football organisation Team Grassroots shared a post in support of Stout on X (formerly Twitter), asking followers to “send your love and support”. The post has since gained more than 6.7 million views and a flood of support for the rising star.
“Please send your love and support to 16-year-old Skye Stout from Scotland, and don’t let the ignorant bullies win,” it wrote alongside the official club announcement from Kilmarnock.
“Yesterday, the official page of the Scottish club Kilmarnock women’s team announced that the club had signed a contract with 16-year-old midfielder Skye Stout. A grassroots player signing her first pro contract, should have been a moment to cherish for her, however, Skye was forced to endure ridicule from ignorant and disrespectful fans who began to humiliate her over her facial acne.
“Things escalated to the point where the club decided to delete all posts mentioning Skye Stout in an effort to stop the bullying from haters.”

Football team Chelsea FC Women, which boasts two Matildas players, Sam Kerr and Ellie Carpenter, shared their support for the teen, writing, “The Skye is the limit – congratulations and good luck for the season!”
Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher also spoke out in support of Skye, wishing the footballer “good luck”.
Here’s just a quick snapshot of all the love for Stout!

Fellow Kilmarnock Women’s teammate Laura McLaughlin also called out the trolls on her X account, stating that Stout’s teammates are “committed to supporting her in every way we can”.
“Yesterday, my 16-year-old teammate Skye was the target of online bullying following her signing announcement. This is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” McLaughlin’s statement began.
“Stepping up to senior football and standing out in pre-season is a huge achievement, something Skye should be proud of. I hope she can focus on this and leave the negativity behind.”

Since the reposts of Stout’s signing went viral, the Kilmarnock Instagram page (@KilmarnockFC), has been flooded with comments asking for the football club to repost Stout’s announcement.

At the time of writing, Kilmarnock have not yet reposted Stout’s exciting news, and Stout’s social media pages are currently deactivated.
That being said, we are with you all the way, Stout!!! Big love to you, and we’re wishing you all the best on your pro Football journey!!
(And for all the vile folks who came for a teenager for literal acne, you can kick rocks, ‘cos we don’t see your pro-football signing announcement anywhere, innit?).
