Gold begins the week with losses of $22

Capitals, April 22 / WAM / Gold prices declined during trading today, losing more than $22 in spot transactions, while being exposed to profit-taking operations after recording record gains, during which it reached its highest levels ever.

By 09:33 AM UAE time, the yellow metal fell by 0.94%, or the equivalent of $22.4, to reach 2369.62 per ounce.

Gold contracts for June 2024 delivery fell by 1.27%, or the equivalent of $30.85, to reach $2,382.85 per ounce.

In terms of other precious metals, silver fell by 2.86% to $28.02 per ounce, palladium fell by 0.17% to $1030.03, while platinum rose by about 0.01% to $944.
