Gracie Abrams Ruffles Feathers With Taylor Swift Wedding Post Ft… Joe Alwyn?

Gracie Abrams has raised eyebrows after sharing a pic of Joe Alwyn in an Instagram post that also included photos of herself attending his ex Taylor Swift’s wedding.

Gracie, a singer and friend of Taylor’s who opened for her on some dates of her Eras Tour, was one of multiple celebs who flocked to Madison Square Garden over the weekend to celebrate the pop star’s marriage to Travis Kelce.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Gracie shared a bunch of pics of herself in the same red sequinned dress that she was spotted wearing when entering and leaving the wedding venue a few days ago.

While that is all well and good, Gracie’s carousel post ruffled a few Swifties’ feathers for a simple reason: it included a photo of Joe, who dated Taylor for roughly six years up until 2023, on a TV screen in a scene from his movie, The Favourite.

Though his face is hidden in Gracie’s pic, Joe’s character in The Favourite is seen lunging towards Emma Stone, who starred opposite him in the 2018 movie, and who coincidentally also attended Taylor’s wedding.

It’s unclear why Gracie chose to share a pic of Taylor’s ex in the same post about the wedding, but some fans didn’t take too kindly to head-scratching inclusion.

“Not congratulating Taylor, but posting her ex?” one Instagram user wrote, while another added that including Joe was “just weird and unnecessary”.

Joe and Taylor reportedly started dating in 2016, with their break up six years later thought to have inspired many of the pop star’s songs released during and shortly after that period.

Following that romance, Taylor briefly dated The 1975’s Matty Healy before getting engaged to Travis in 2025.

Gracie and Emma were just a few of the celebs who attended the pair’s wedding, with Karlie Kloss, Graham Norton, and Eric Stonestreet among the 1,000-person guest list.

Earlier today, it was reported that one of Taylor and Travis’ guests posted, then deleted, a picture of the wedding invite, which somehow feels less contentious than posting Joe Alwyn.
