A Grand National punter placed a £100,000 bet on a horse to win Saturday’s race, shocking presenter Brian Gleeson.
Describing his bet as “whopping” and the “biggest bet we’ve ever made,” the racegoer revealed that the horse he put all his faith in was I Am Maximus.
Reacting to the huge sum of money, Gleeson said: “That’s what you call a proper bet.”
The punter ended up walking away with an £800,000 profit after I Am Maximus reclaimed the crown he took in 2024,
