The Ministry of Health and Population announced the closure of the Al-Safwa Physical Therapy Center located on Ain Shams Street in Helmeyet El-Zaytoun Square in Cairo Governorate, in order to operate it without a license, in clear violation of the Law Regulating Medical Facilities No. 153 of 2004.
This came in implementation of the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, to tighten control over non-governmental medical facilities to ensure the safety of citizens, and under the supervision of the Central Administration for Non-governmental Treatment Institutions. And licenses.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the ministry’s official spokesman, confirmed that large quantities of unlicensed and unknown source medicines had been seized at the center for sale to the public, and a refrigerator was found containing medicines without a list of names or a statement of temperatures, in violation of the Pharmacy Practice Law No. 127 of 1955.
For his part, he explained Dr. Hisham Zaki, Head of the Central Administration for Non-Governmental Treatment Institutions, said that the center was searched and the seized items were seized in cooperation with the Egyptian Medicines Authority, with a report drawn up to take the necessary legal measures.
