HGTV star Nicole Curtis under fire for using racial slur before desperately begging crew to delete footage

HGTV’s Nicole Curtis has been caught on camera using the ‘N word’ in a leaked video which appears to be taken while filming her series Rehab Addict.
In a video shared with RadarOnline.com, the historic preservation expert, 49, struggled through renovations when she used the offensive language.
‘It’s the last one,’ Curtis said as she tried removing wire from a frame. ‘Oh, fart n*****.’
Upon realizing her mistake in front of the camera, she was then seen begging the crew to delete the footage.
‘What the f*** is that I just said?’ she said.
Addressing her crew, she continued, ‘Nick, you gotta, you gotta, can you kill that? F*** my life.’
According to the publication, the video was captured approximately two years ago and appears to match with scenes that aired in the season 10 episode Nicole Goes West, which aired in June 2025.
The footage was not included in the final cut of the episode.

A spokesperson for HGTV told Daily Mail that it was aware of an offensive racial comment made during the filming of Rehab Addict.
They said: ‘We understand that language like this is hurtful and disappointing to our viewers, partners, and employees, and it does not align with the values of HGTV.
‘Accordingly, we have removed the series from all HGTV platforms. We remain dedicated to fostering a culture of respect and inclusion across our content and our workplace.’
The Daily Mail has contacted Curtis for comment.
Rehab Addict premiered on HGTV in 2010 and is currently airing its ninth season.
The series follows Curtis as she restores crumbling historic homes to their former glory.
Last year, the show was dramatically pulled from the air mid-series after just two episodes.
At the time, Curtis explained to her fans in a post shared on Instagram: ‘I appreciate your support and understanding for the late notice.

The television personality gave a shoutout to her production crew on February 11
‘It’s just a lot of hours (my hours) to get a show on air and we (my family +me) thought -why are we giving up summer when we have the ability to do this in the fall?’
She added: ‘Thank you to the powers that be at HGTV that were receptive to our idea.’
Rehab Addict is set to return February 11 at 12pm and 1pm ET.
On Tuesday, Curtis expressed her gratitude to her small crew, which is made up of two cameras and her ‘construction guys’.
‘We had squatters, drugs, human waste, the nastiest you can imagine and we ended up with the beautiful Doris house,’ she said addressing the results of one of her projects.
‘I’ll go to my last breath being proud that I did this more real, more raw than anyone else.
‘There’s never been 100 people, let alone, 25 people, even 10 people labeled production when I’m working. It’s me, it’s my construction guys, on big days (meaning there’s a huge build like roof going on) it’s two cameras, but most, it’s one.’
