I work in a charity shop and there’s one gift nobody wants but people keep buying – we get hundreds donated and can’t even flog them

A charity shop worker slammed people for buying this one gift for their friends that clearly nobody wants as they end up in her shop.

Meg, from London, who goes by the username @alottameg on TikTok, fumed that her second-hand shop gets flooded with miniature cheese board sets after Christmas each year.

To make matters worse, the shop isn’t able to sell them because they can’t have products with knives on the shop floor.

In a hilarious clip, which racked up more than 2.2 million views, Meg raged that about 500 miniature cheese boards get donated each year.

She said: ‘Your friends don’t want a f****ing miniature cheese board set for Christmas. And you know how I know that?

‘Because we get donated about 500 of them every year. And not just after Christmas either.

‘All the time I’m getting brand new unused mini cheese board sets, cheese knives, shit like that.

‘We can’t even put them out cause we can’t have sharps in the shop. Your friends don’t f***ing want them.’

Meanwhile she also revealed charity shops have had enough of seeing elephant pants- which are popular with the hordes of backpacking tourists around Asia.

She said: ‘And you know what else, I don’t wanna keep seeing in my goddamn shop either?

‘Those stupid f***ing elephant trousers that everyone wears when they go travelling around Asia.

‘I don’t wanna see them anymore. Okay, I understand it’s fun when you’re out there.

‘But why are you bringing them home? Holy and crotchless!

‘And then bringing them to me, giving them to me in my shop? I don’t want them.

‘Why buy them if you’re only going to wear them when you’re in a specific place?

‘Stop frivolously buying things, guys, come on!’
