A private investigator who caught hundreds of cheaters has revealed the unexpected warning sign that could suggest someone is being unfaithful.

Cassie Crofts, who runs a licensed private investigation service called Venus Investigations in Australia, gets paid to work on cases of cheating partners, whether it’s surveillance stakeouts or background checks. 

She said one of the major patterns she notices among serial cheaters is that they often lack long-term friendships.

‘I’m a private investigator who’s caught hundreds of cheaters, and there’s one big red flag that nobody is talking about,’ she said in her video. 

‘This isn’t just for cheating, this is for dating in general. It’s them having no long-term friends. This really says a lot about a person.’

The PI said having no long-term mates after a falling out or because of damaged past friendships could be a potential indicator of how someone handles relationships. 

‘They can’t maintain relationships or potentially have ruined the relationships they did have,’ she explained.

‘This is often the case with serial cheaters because their friends get sick of hanging around watching people get hurt.

‘So if his closest friend is someone he met three months ago, that’s a big red flag.’

She said it’s a good sign to look out for when trying to spot a potential cheater, especially in the early stages of dating. 

Cassie previously shared a ‘sneaky’ iPhone trick to use if you suspect your partner is cheating on you but aren’t sure where to start looking.

She said there’s a simple way she figures out whether a person is being unfaithful – and it all comes down to checking their texting history.

‘I’ve caught hundreds of cheaters and I have some information you probably need to know. Worried they’re texting the ex? This handy little tip can help you catch a cheater,’ Cassie said in a video.

‘If you open a new text message on a phone and under the ‘To:’ section, you put a full stop, it would come up with all the most recently texted numbers.’

However, the private investigator warned you should only do this if you have ‘explicit permission’ to use their phone. 

‘We do not condone breaking into people’s phones,’ she said. 

Many were surprised to see the ‘sneaky’ trick worked, with one sharing: ‘Wowsers! Just did it on my own iPhone and it was spot on.’

‘That totally works! Love being able to see/check when I last sent a message to a particular person! Thanks for sharing,’ another said. 

‘OMG! I deleted some of my messages and it still comes up with all of them! Wow,’ one revealed.

‘Damn it worked! Pretty impressive,’ another added.

Earlier this year, Cassie revealed the ‘wildest way’ she caught a man cheating on his wife using an Alexa device. 

She said she began working with a jilted wife who became suspicious of her husband after she noticed signs he was being unfaithful while she was away on work trips. 

Cassie said the wife was ‘pretty savvy’ as she knew all the warning signs to look out for – including coming home unexpectedly to see if she could catch her husband in the act and checking their joint bank accounts for any unusual spending.

‘So we’re going down the list of things that we might be able to do before going into full surveillance,’ the PI explained. 

But after finding nothing to prove her man was secretly having an affair, the private investigator asked the wife whether they owned an Alexa device because it has a hidden feature that may help uncover infidelity.
