I’m no green thumb, but this Gtech garden tool bundle transformed my garden from sad and unruly to this. I’m recommending it to everyone with a small lawn or hedge

I am not a great gardener but I am getting there with knowledgeable directions from my ‘super gardener’ Mum.
She is now disabled so can’t really do much but is very good at giving directions on what should be done and when and what with! I
I told her about the GTech bundle for the garden that was arriving, which includes the Cordless Grass Trimmer GT50, Light Hedge Trimmer LHT50 and the Small Cordless Lawn Mower SLM50, so she was there to see it all in action. She even used (and loved) the Light Hedge trimmer which only weighs 2.1kg.
Below, I review all three products in full.
Gtech cordless garden bundle review
I started with the Cordless Grass Trimmer. I can honestly say this felt lighter than my Dyson hairdryer, as it only weighs 1.95kg. The sleek design felt almost out of place in my garden and should be in a design museum. There’s no heavy battery either, just a neat cube that sits at the end of all the tools including the lawn mower, which we will come to later. No stupid wire that breaks every time you try and do the edges and have to replace every 5 minutes.
This has a pointed green plastic blade that just clips on: pure genius. The product comes with a full bag of them so if you break it you have plenty to replace it with.

Next came the Light Hedge Trimmer, where we tackled a large shrub in the garden. This was also as light that as a feather so could easily do the bottom, sides and top with ease and is great at trimming all the hedges, big or small in the garden.
You can adjust the head to suit all angles, and moving from top to bottom in sweeping movements made me feel like a professional gardener. It made it all so easy and my mum even had a go it was so light.
The the Light Hedge Trimmer (£219.99) is so dinky, even my disabled mum could use it.

The Small Cordless Lawn Mower was even smaller than I thought It would be but weirdly as stylish as the Gtech vacuum cleaner with the same hi-tech design, pushing it with battery on the end. The joy of not having a cable that always gets in the way passes everything else.
It’s perfect for a small garden lawn like ours but definitely get the bigger model if you have anything bigger than three metres by six. If I said we had argued about holding the cable on our last mower a million times, that would not be an exaggeration. This had none of those issues.
It almost looks like a toy mower – but thankfully it does come with a child safety attachment as it has an almost toy like appeal to it with the colours and lightness. If you live in a town and only have a small patch of grass, this is all you need!
This mower is perfect for a small garen like mine but larger spaces will need something bigger.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
I have never seen such glamourous garden tools. They were almost too pretty to use. But when you do start using them, you realise that someone who really knows about gardening has designed all three of these.
I would have loved to have not had to constantly hold the button down on the lawn mower, as it did make my hand ache when I was using it towards the end. However, overall the three appliances made lightwork of all my gardening needs and make we want to get back out there and do more jobs before the summer (hopefully) rolls in.
I was blown away by the Gtech Cordless garden bundle
DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE
The most incredible garden gadgets and the Light Hedge Trimmer gets 5* from me. In fact, whoever designed and managed to get all the tools to such a light weight should be working for NASA. We were all feeling the lightness of all three garden tools and just couldn’t believe they could do the jobs they were designed to do.
VALUE FOR MONEY
I think all three are worth every penny and with the Cordless Grass Trimmer (£99.99) and Cordless Lawnmower (£179.99) I was actually surprised they didn’t cost more!
The Light Hedge Trimmer is very much a bargain too. There will be no need for stress every time something needs to be trimmed down or shaped and would probably end up saving you money as you don’t have to get a gardener in to do any of these tasks anymore.
VERDICT
I have already sent my old garden strimmer and mower to the dump. These three garden tools make light work of everything that needs doing in without any fuss and actually makes it all look and feel quite easy.
The Light Hedge Trimmer just scores top marks in everything and you wonder why every gardener doesn’t have one. I think of the three garden tools this will come in handiest for the front and back garden.
The cordless lawn mower cuts the grass and is great in a small space, for the corners and ease of use. I am still torn whether I should have got the bigger lawn mower like the CLM50 lawn mower but small cordless is really perfect for our petite garden lawn.
I would have like to be able to click the safety switch twice so that I didn’t need to constantly hold the on button down, but I loved the safety aspect of all three devices and put it back in the garage with ease
How we test
Opening the small boxes and wondering how to fit the main three parts together actually became quite easy by the time I opened the third box. As long as you hear that gorgeous click you know you have the right part in the right place.
I tested all three appliances across my garden, including along the grass, hedges and bushes.
All of them also come with 70% charged so you can ‘click and go’ and charge lasts anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes depending on the product.
The cordless grass trimmer cut the edges perfectly and was so, so light. I hated my other one and would avoid using it all costs but now with this stylish and so, so light trimmer I will be fighting to get to it first.

HOW DOES IT COMPARE TO SIMILAR PRODUCTS
We have/had a Bosch grass trimmer which I hated using. The thread was constantly breaking and made heavy work of such a small job so there is a big round of applause for the GTech Cordless Grass Trimmer.
The Light Hedge Trimmer is a design masterclass and no gardener should be without one as I have tried to use a different one in the past and it just became so heavy in my arms I lost the will to live.
Last but not least, SLM Lawnmower compared to our old electric Bosch mower will definitely be used by the whole family as it is so easy and does the job perfectly with no fuss and is actually fun to use. You never know they might actually volunteer to mow the lawn this summer!
