Aussie heartthrob Jacob Elordi and YouTube star Olivia Jade Giannulli have been at the centre of some juicy dating rumours for the last four years. Now, it looks like the pair have reportedly called it quits on their rumoured relationship. Yes, again.
Elordi, 28, and Giannulli, 25, have been dating on and off since 2021 but have never publicly commented on their relationship. However, in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, an insider claims that the actor and influencer have broken up for good.
While we always have to take these insider reports with a grain of salt, it’s worth noting that PEOPLE is one of the most reputable titles of the tabloid genre and in many cases, celebrity publicists go directly to the publication with a statement to get their news out there in a controlled way.
I’m not saying that happened, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it did.
According to E! News, the relationship update comes after the Euphoria star was spotted at Cara Delevingne‘s 33rd birthday party in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, in a YouTube vlog, Giannuli revealed that she’d moved to Paris.
While the pair could be going long distance, I think it’s more likely to be a signifier of a new chapter.
Elordi and Giannulli were first spotted together in 2021, having a cheeky coffee in Los Angeles a month after he split with Kaia Gerber. According to insider sources, the genetically blessed duo had been dating on and off ever since on the sly.
In August 2022, US Weekly reported that the pair “enjoyed spending time together” but broke up because they didn’t want to be tied down. However, they must have worked things out because they were spotted hanging out again shortly after.
Most recently, the pair were spotted together in Sardinia, Italy, to celebrate Giannulli’s 25th birthday alongside her mum, Lori Loughlin, dad Mossimo Giannulli and sister, Bella Rose Giannulli. You can see pictures of them reclining by the beach and reading together (AKA my dream) HERE.
Although we know they’ve spent considerable time together thanks to what they’ve posted on social media and the many pap pics of the duo together, the pair have never explicitly said that they were dating. After all, Elordi has maintained the importance of privacy in his personal life since his rise to fame.
In an interview with GQ in 2022, he was asked about fame. He responded: “I can see the edge of a cliff, and I’m just teetering on the edge. My fear is: What step can’t you go back from?”
