Joy Taylor could be set for a swift return to sports broadcasting, days after being fired by Fox Sports earlier this week.
Her show ‘Speak’ was axed along with ‘Breakfast Ball’ and ‘The Facility’, bringing an end to the 38-year-old Taylor’s 10-year stint with Fox.
But she doesn’t appear to be out of options as she ponders her next move.
Glibert Arenas and his ‘Gil’s Arena’ podcast has bloomed into a major presence in the sports media world, boasting 1.1million YouTube subscibers and rising.
And the former NBA star, 43, has revealed he has been talking to Taylor for a long time about potentially recruiting her for his show.
‘Joy’s a great host,’ he said on the No Chill Gill Summer League stream. ‘I know we’re looking at her for the football side.
Taylor is out at Fox Sports after nearly a decade as part of a major shake-up by the network

Gilbert Arenas has now suggested that he could hire Taylor to be on his show
‘We’ve been behind the scenes talking to her for the last year.’
Taylor hasn’t directly addressed her Fox departure but posted a workout video on Instagram shortly after news of her exit broke.
She appears to be on vacation in the Bahamas – on Tuesday, she shared pictures from the Island alongside her brother and sister-in-law.
The latest episode of her ‘two personal’ podcast is set to drop on Thursday but it is not yet clear if it was recorded before the news of her Fox departure emerged.
Meanwhile, it emerged on Wednesday that Kay Adams could be in line to benefit from the dramatic Fox shake-up.
The popular sportscaster and TV personality, 39, who currently presents her own daily sports show ‘Up & Adams’ on FanDuel TV, is reportedly in the running to join Fox on the back of Taylor’s exit.
She has a wealth of experience after previously hosting NFL Network’s Good Morning Football and special events for the Chicago Bears, while she has also worked on DAZN’s broadcasting team for boxing events in the past.
The prospect of Adams having a significant role seemed to be well received by fans on Wednesday morning.

‘Let’s go, Kay Adams!!!! She’s the BEST!’ wrote one fan, Chris Ochs, on social media in response to the news.
Another wrote: ‘Would love Kay Adams on prime time.’
‘Kay Adams vote here,’ a different fan responded, with a ‘tick’ emoji.
As well as Adams, male sports personalities Tony Reali and Max Kellerman are also believed to be on Fox’s radar, with the network also in need of replacements for the likes of Emmanuel Acho, Keyshawn Johnson and LeSean McCoy – who are also out along with Taylor.
