Liverpool ‘plotting swoop for Champions League-winning PSG star’… and have also ‘not given up hope on Alexander Isak’

Liverpool are far from done with their summer splurge, according to a report, and are plotting a swoop for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.
The Premier League champions are finalising a deal for Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz, which is expected to make him the most expensive signing in British history.
The Reds have also continued to be linked with Newcastle’s Alexander Isak, though a deal for the Magpies striker could exceed the £126million mooted to sign Wirtz.
If Newcastle, who are set for a financial windfall after qualifying for the Champions League, refuse to budge on a likely £150m valuation for the Swedish striker, the Reds may turn their attention to Barcola, according to The Sun.
Reports out of Germany this week have claimed that Bayern Munich has identified the 22-year-old as a target, with his future unclear in Paris. And it has now been claimed that the Merseyside club are prepared to battle with the German giants once again this summer, following their tussle over Wirtz.
Having begun the season in Luis Enrique’s starting XI, Barcola found himself on the bench for the Champions League final, with his replacement Desire Doue producing a Man of the Match-winning performance in the 5-0 demolition of Inter Milan.

Liverpool will look to raise funds for further summer additions – following the £29.5m arrival of Jeremie Frimpong and £45m outlay expected on Milos Kerkez – by offloading Darwin Nunez.
The Uruguayan looks set to leave Anfield after struggling to nail down a place in Arne Slot’s starting XI, with Luis Diaz often depolyed out of position in the centre of attack during the Reds’ Premier League title-winning campaign.
Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Hilal remain among the clubs keen on signing the striker.
